Oct 10, 2018 · Unity 2018.3 will ship with an update to the terrain system. This update features improved tools and performance by taking better advantage of the GPU. It also adds support for the HD and LW render pipelines, while being backward compatible with the built-in render pipeline and the existing Unity Terrain system. Expected: editor doesn't compile as Raycast has a LayerMask type of object in the float field (check picture attached) Actual: editor compiles and somehow still manages to cast a Ray with a maxDistance parameter type of LayerMask (check pictures)
